God: Who is He?
Belief in a Supreme Being
There are millions of people who are questioning the existence of God, the name of God, who he really is, and what is my relationship with him? Is he someone who mysteriously floats around on a cloud watching and judging us from above like some bigger than life Santa Claus, or is he, like many of the esoteric sciences claim, a part of our inner Self, whom we have constant contact with, someone whom we and everything in the universe are connected and are thus one?
What was Jesus trying to tell us? Jesus traveled for many years, much of which is unrecorded. It has been said he traveled to India, Europe, Egypt, and the Mormons even say he traveled to the Americas and met with the early native American tribes in South America. It has been said he belonged to the Esscenes, an early esoteric group in the Middle East.
Is any of this true, certainly some of it is, as some of it has been documented, is it all true? I tend to believe it is. I believe Jesus learned many “secrets”of the universe through his travels and studies, many of which he tried to relate to the common citizen of his time. Much of what he knew would be very hard for an ordinary person to comprehend, much less understand as it is so far outside the realm of what is taught, not only then but now as well. In order to understand and know it to be true, one would have to be open minded enough to put aside the beliefs we have and be open minded enough to consider the possibility of something else being possible.
Through my own research and experiences, I have found it possible to relate to the things Jesus taught to what is the common belief of the time and see a connection between the two. I think the key to understanding it is to realize each of us is a soul that is occupying a body, not a body that has a soul. We need to depersonalize it, when one realizes we are energy and that energy never dies, and God is energy, one can begin to understand how a human is a part of the God Force and thus has a connection that can never be broken.
When Jesus said;”I am the way and the light,” I believe he meant his teachings were meant to show us the way, not that he was a messiah, but we needed to follow his teachings to reach the kingdom of God.
Each of us in our own way are experiencing what God is, and thus we are each a part of God, thus we are God!
